Service dog training at a Christmas event

A few weeks ago Pharaby & I went to our towns Christmas tree lighting & Christmas concert. We had a lot of fun! I really enjoy taking her to things like this because they are a great place for training. These events are highly distracting for her & unpredictable because of how many people are there.  At one point a little kid ran up & touched Pharaby so that wasn't cool BUT still good for training because I was able to have her regain her focus quickly. Even though that was upsetting to me, it actually was helpful.

I am proud of myself for going to events like that too! As someone with a ton of anxiety & who didn't go out a lot for many years, it takes a lot for me to get the courage to go do things outside my normal day to day life. Having Pharaby, (my service dog) gives me the confidence to get out & try new things. I also know that I have to take her out for training so that sort of forces me to try new experience. I know if I start to have a panic attack or any problem, Pharaby will help me through it. She has given me so much freedom. I'm so thankful for her!
