My (Short) Story & The Goal:
I am a disabled domestic violence survivor living with severe dysautonomia, MCS, CPTSD, and daily non epileptic seizures (PNES). These involuntary physical shutdowns make traditional, consistent work impossible. Facing this without a family safety net or income means that housing insecurity keeps my body locked in constant fight or flight, directly worsening my symptoms.
Severe neurological damage from long-term trauma isn't something you simply "recover" from on a neat schedule. Our focus isn't a quick fix, it’s permanent stability. Without a secure foundation, the body cannot settle, leading to continuous physical decline. Establishing long-term housing security gives us the baseline safety required to manage these permanent conditions safely and keep us housed.
